How to Use the Service

Middle Tennessee Listing Service is being written from the ground up. It is not a package we’ve subscribed to, it is a system we are building brick by brick (or maybe pixel by pixel). Our goal is to bring buyers and sellers of Middle Tennessee Real Estate together in a cost efficient way. For Buyers:

If you’re looking for a home to buy, and you want to search for available properties, just click on the Listings tab. You’ll see several links:

  • Browse All For Sale by Owners
    Use this link to browse our free For Sale By Owner (FSBO) Listings. Check back often as this area grows. No Real Estate agents are involved, just the buyer and the seller.
  • Browse All MLS Listings
    This link gives you access to the entire Middle Tennessee Regional Multiple Listing Service (MLS). Since the MLS contains the most up-to-date and comprehensive realtor listings, this is where you can begin the search for your dream home. Here you can basically peruse everything that’s out there. Once you’re ready to narrow your search down to specifics, use one of the following tools.
    • Find by MLS #
      If you already know the MLS # of a property, use this link to get detailed information, or even set up a showing.
    • Browse by Area
      Use this link to filter MLS listings down to the areas you are interested in. If you’re not familiar with the MLS area parameters, click on the help button (the question mark to the left of the Area dropdown box) to bring up an area map.
    • Browse by City
      This is a useful tool if you know what City you’re interested in, or if you simply want to compare various cities for what they currently have available. One word of caution – if you spell the City wrong, you will get no results. But whether you’re interested in Smithville or Mount Juliet, type the city name here.
  • Advanced Search
    Here you’ll be able to search by a variety of parameters. Looking for Lakefront property? Go to the Waterfront parameter. Filter your search by price, number of bedrooms, year built, style of home; you even have the ability to search within a radius of a specific ZIP code. If you’re interested in the 37082 ZIP code, for instance, you can find every property there (that’s Cheatham County by the way) or anything 5 miles out, or 10 miles out, or 50 miles out. Fill in as few fields, or as many as you choose to narrow your search down to fit your needs exactly!

Privacy Guaranteed

Registration is optional if you’re searching, but once you decide to become a registered user, you will have access to our Community Forums, as well as a very private mail messaging system, enabling you stay in contact with both buyers and sellers. You can save listings you’re interested in, and you will have access to our Automated Messenger. You can program the Messenger to alert you whenever new properties become available that meet your preferences. You will never be spammed, you won’t get junk mail, and telemarketers won’t have access to your contact info. We want to bring buyers and sellers of Middle Tennessee Real Estate together. We feel that this allows free enterprise to work in its most efficient manner.
