David Gates Steps Out

spiffy dave David Gates, the former leader of Bread, got all dressed up recently for one of his rare public appearances, at a New York party in his honor to celebrate the release of his newest Elektra album and single, both titled Never Let Her Go. David has decided to become more visible this year, after more than a year out of the spotlight concentrating on writing and producing his music. David has agreed to join Olivia Newton-John for a series of concerts this summer, and then he's off to England where two of his songs as recorded by other artists have gone to Number 1 on the charts. The tunes are "Everything I Own" as sung by Ken Boothe and "If" - an enormous hit in England as interpreted by the one and only Telly Savalas!
