For this tour, David and Jimmy agreed that getting a couple of extra musicians to round out the band would be beneficial. A lot of tracks were doubled on their studio albums and having a good guitarist and bass player would help "fatten" out their sound and give it a deep, rich quality. Besides the improved sound, it would also allow them to concentrate more fully on their vocals.

To that end, please meet Scott Chambers - bass player extraordinaire. A resident of Nashville, Scott's been playing bass professionally for twenty-plus years. Formerly a resident of Los Angeles, he was a founding member of Jack Mack and the Heartattack, a ten piece R&B band that recorded for Warner Brothers Records, as well as an active studio and touring musician. |
He has performed or recorded with artists from Art Garfunkel to the Pointer Sisters, Bette Midler to Graham Nash, and at a recent private performance with the Nashville based band Max Carl and Big Dance was joined onstage by Don Henley, Sheryl Crowe, Bruce Hornsby and Bruce Springsteen. Scott and drummer, Mike Botts, can be heard together on "Looking For Love" by Johnny Lee, the title track of the film "Urban Cowboy."
Scott endorses Xotic Basses, Taylor Guitars, D'Addario strings and would like to thank Fishman Transducers for their great support. If you have any questions, Xotic may be contacted at "xotic@instanet.com" .
