During the seventies, there were a number of full page ads that were created to promote some Bread-related events. Usually, it was to promote an album, but it could've been for a single, a tour or even just some recognition for the group's accomplishments.
These ads usually appeared in record-industry periodicals. Most notable among these were Billboad, Cash Box and Record World. Typically, the Cashbox and Record World ads were about 9.5" x 13" while the Billboard ads were about 10.5" x 15". They make nice collectibles and sometimes dealers sell the pages laminated, which keeps them clean and sharp. I used to pay between $3.00 and $10.00 per page, back in the eighties. I don't know what they go for today, but checking a source like Goldmine would give you a good idea. On this page are some of the ads that I was able to collect over the years. Note the slight differences in the two "On The Waters" ads. And...this page may take a few minutes to load completely because of the graphics.
